(VENTURA) – The Ventura County Area Agency on Aging (VCAAA) is partnering with the Ventura County Human Services Agency and Public Authority In-Home Support Services to host Age Out Loud, You Have a Voice, a bilingual caregiver recognition conference designed to provide much needed support and recognition to area caregivers. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, May 24, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott located at 600 Esplanade Drive in Oxnard.
With a goal to honor the work of local caregivers, Age Out Loud, You Have a Voice will also provide caregivers with the opportunity to strengthen their support system within the community and with the programs and resources offered by each hosting agency.
The conference will feature author and guest speaker, Jean Steel. Age Out Loud, You Have a Voice will be held in conjunction with a variety of events throughout the country in recognition of Older Americans Month.
This event is free and open to the public. Headsets will be available to any guest in need of translation. Breakfast will be provided.
