The VCAAA’s Information & Assistance (I&A) team is on the front lines of the Agency, taking all incoming calls and assisting the public with a variety of resources, which include:
- Vivienda
- Transporte
- Caregiver Support
- Food and Meal Assistance
- Gestión de casos
- Referrals (connecting clients with VCAAA programs, or with outside agencies and organizations)
The I&A team is a crucial link for persons aged 60 and over, people with disabilities and their caregivers. The I&A staff will refer all callers to the appropriate programs and services in their communities that can help address a variety of situations.

ElderHelp
ElderHelp in-home services may be able to provide personal care/caregiving, homemaker services and/or minor home modifications to frail older adults.
Eligibility for ElderHelp
- Be 60 years of age or older
- Live in Ventura County
- Services may only be completed once per fiscal year per client
- An individual’s level of need will be considered
- Services are subject to available funding
